Lifeline Power Yoga
Apprentice Program

The Lifeline Power Yoga Apprentice Program is geared to prepare yogis for advancement in the teaching of Power Vinyasa Yoga..

Why: You will become the best teacher that you can be!
How: You will be guided through an 8-month process that will allow the true you to shine!

Practice: Vinyasa Yoga is a life-changing system. You will be guided by the staff at Lifeline Power Yoga so that the flow comes into your being. You will develop the ability to listen, feel, and become aware of where you are in the moment. As you become more in touch with yourself, you will begin to discover who you are and the teacher that you will become. You will know the authentic you!

Break Out I: The first weekend-intensive is an awakening of your true self. You will be shown the way within so that your inner and true self can shine and be released. We have all lived life with a certain mode of operation that hinders who we really are. As we become more willing to come apart, it becomes easier to find the whole.

Break Out II (Assisting): As a teacher of Vinyasa Yoga and a part of Lifeline Power Yoga, developing your sense of touch is a necessity. We will take you through a series of teachings that will help you become confident in helping others open up. You will also be part of 15 classes as an assistant that will allow you to develop your assisting and grow at a pace that will prepare you to have helping hands. Phase II also features a meditation component that will help you find your way and to take you deeper within yourself.

Break Out III: The final phase will help you become a real teacher as you spend time developing your knowledge of teaching the flow. As you move through this phase, you will begin to find ease in teaching, dropping the show or the act, and instead, teaching from the true you. You will be taken inward to find your own light and to learn to plant seeds that will grow to bring forth the flowers within. By this phase, you will be ready to move forward into your advanced meditation practice.

The apprenticeship program at Lifeline Power Yoga is one of a kind. It will truly prepare you to move forward in the Power Vinyasa Yoga system and to be the best teacher you can be. Remember, "You have to live it to give it." - Sid McNairy

"In training with Sid. . . I have not only increased my knowledge of yoga, gained strength and stamina , but have grown spiritually. As a fitness instructor I have attended many different training sessions but nothing has left me with such purpose to go and share the positive experience that I have felt through[Lifeline Power Yoga]." - Mary Fox (Lutherville, MD)

"Physical fitness is only one of the many benefits of practicing yoga. If a person is willing to stick to it yoga can lay HUGE stepping stones on the path to happiness. Yesterday i saw some old friends who i thought i haven't seen because I've been so busy lately, well since about a year ago. Than as i was catching up with them it occurred to me that i was a completely different person than i was when i used to hang out with them, i could barley relate at all. We talked about old times.. and parties and what not, and i started to remember the person i was way back when (it seems like a lot longer than a year ago). I had severe depression and had been on countless different medications since i was about 13. When the medications did not work ( which they didn't ever really work more than just making you numb to emotion) i would resort to drugs. I spent most of my time pretty much feeling sorry for myself, or just pissed off. I didn't get along with either of my parents, and even moved out of my mom's house for a while. Anyway as i was sitting there i realized that there was a reason i wasn't seeing these people anymore, and it was definetely not because i did not have time for them. It was because they were negative forces in my life and god is helping me clean those out. Anyway the whole point of me telling you this is basically to say that you just about saved my life. I tried to kill myself twice and got pretty close to it the second time. Since I've been coming to yoga i haven't had a need for any antidepressants, i haven't drank, etc. i wake up happy and ready to start the day, I'm no longer numb.. i can accept, and although we have our disagreements I've even become close with my mother. I was also failing in school because i pretty much didn't care... I've been on the honor roll every quarter this year. When I started coming to yoga you gave me a motivation to change my life, you made me realize that i was making my life difficult for myself and all I had to do was to change it. And i did change it; i switched my friends (except a few good ones who have been there through it all for me), I switched my habits and i changed my outlook on life. I honestly believe if yoga hadn't found me i might not be sitting here at this moment. This is why i want to be a teacher. I doubt every person I teach will go through a revolution to the extent that I did, but being able to help someone change their thoughts even half has a much as I have is basically my life goal. - Sarah Finn, Towson, MD, Yogi for life!
